Rohan, a young child from a rural area, faced significant health challenges early in life. His family noticed unusual symptoms at 10-11 months and sought help at Anadlok Hospital in Islampur, where an X-ray revealed a heart problem. Referred to a specialized centre in Siliguri, Rohan was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and a large ventricular septal defect (VSD).
Determined to get the best care, his family travelled to Delhi and connected with the Child Heart Foundation (CHF). At CHF, they met Dr Vikas Kohli, a renowned pediatric cardiologist. The Foundation provided medical care, emotional support, and financial assistance, enabling Rohan to undergo successful treatment.
Today, Rohan is thriving. His story showcases CHF’s mission to provide free and subsidized cardiac care for underprivileged children, raise awareness about congenital heart diseases, and promote early diagnosis. His journey is a beacon of hope for families facing similar challenges
