Support a Child

2024-2025

Pt. Muskan

A Hopeful Heartbeat for a Little Fighter

Muskan is a bright, spirited 12year old girl from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Since childhood she does not have any history of heart disease. However, she used to feel hot quite often. Apart from this, she also noticed something unusual with her nails and tongue as it turned bluish. So, they went to Dr. Ajit for consultation. Upon consultation, he prescribed haemoglobin test, and echocardiography. The result confirmed that she has CHD.  She was then referred to Dr. N.N. Khanna of Apollo hospital (New Delhi), who further gave the reference of Dr. Kohli for further consultation and treatment. Soon they visited CHF and met Dr. Kohli with a ray of hope. After a close examination, Dr Kohli advised CT along with echocardiogram. The result revealed that she was suffering from Pulmonary Artesia with VSD and MAPCAS which can be treated through RV-PA Conduit.

From 2024, Muskan is connected with CHF. With his family already having the memory of her father, this diagnosis was totally challenging for her family. Though her mother wanted the best care for their child and decided to overcome the challenges. The surgery was a success and her health started improving gradually. Support from CHF relieved much of the family burden, offered vital financial and emotional relief in their darkest moments. Muskan’s story is one of hope, resilience, and the power of community. She reminds us that even the smallest hearts can hold an immense capacity for strength and courage.
