Nine-month-old Shidra is a beacon of resilience and strength. Shidra’s life took an unexpected turn just one month after her birth when she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Concerned, she was immediately taken to a local doctor, who recommended an echocardiogram for further investigation. However, financial constraints made the road to recovery difficult.
Initially, someone referred them to Satya Sai Hospital, but due to lack of proper information, they opted for treatment at AIIMS. Unfortunately, they received no response from them. Left with no option, theywent to a private clinic, where they learned about Child Heart Foundation (CHF) and Dr. Kohli. With renewed hope, they travelled to Delhi to consult with him.
Dr. Kohli thoroughly examined baby Shidra and diagnosed her with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). Soon arrangements were made for her admission to Apollo Hospital. On January 26th, Shidra underwent the surgical procedure to repair her tiny heart. The surgery was a success, a significant milestone in her journey to a healthy life.
Post-surgery, Shidra’s recovery was gradual but steady. Day by day, she showed signs of improvement. Her story is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and determination can pave the way for a miracle.
