Five-year-old Kavyansh from Uttar Pradesh seemed healthy until, at just six months old, he suddenly fell unconscious. Over time, he began experiencing breathlessness, frequent fevers, and chest infections. Concerned, his parents rushed him to the hospital, where CHD was suspected, and they were advised to seek help in Delhi.
At Mata Gujri Hospital, an echo confirmed the diagnosis and he needed urgent surgery. The news was devastating for the family. His father, a pani puri vendor, couldn’t afford the treatment. Hope returned when the case was referred to Child Heart Foundation (CHF).
A second echo at Balak Ram Hospital confirmed the condition clearly. Kavyansh was enrolled under CHF’s Hridaya Program, and on 29th June, he was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for an ASD device closure.
With the support of ABB India and CHF, the procedure was successfully completed. Today, Kavyansh is recovering well, bringing smiles and hope back to his family.
