Raised by her single mother, Alka ji, life has never been easy. At just seven months old, Aradhya began suffering from persistent fever, which led her family to consult a local doctor in Kanpur. A congenital heart defect (CHD) was suspected, and an echocardiography was advised. The results revealed a hole in her heart, and she was referred to AIIMS for further care.
For the next few years, Aradhya was only managed with medications, but there was no significant improvement in her condition. Her health continued to decline—her skin appeared yellowish, and her lips and nails developed a bluish discoloration, clear signs of her worsening heart condition.
When her family revisited AIIMS, surgery was finally advised. However, long waiting periods and limited availability delayed the treatment, putting her life at further risk.
In 2022, through a local reference, Aradhya’s family reached Dr. Vikas Kohli at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. With the support of Child Heart Foundation (CHF), she underwent her first life-saving surgery—a BT Shunt—at a very young age. Despite severe financial hardships, her mother stood strong and never gave up hope.
Later, during follow-up visits, Aradhya began experiencing joint pain. In 2024, further investigations, including echocardiography, confirmed a complex condition—Pulmonary Atresia with VSD. A CT Angiography was advised, followed by planning for a major intracardiac repair surgery.
Finally, on 14th June 2025, Aradhya was admitted once again to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. Showing incredible courage, she underwent her third major surgery—intracardiac repair. Just five days later, she was discharged in stable condition, marking a significant milestone in her journey toward recovery.
Today, Aradhya continues to heal and grow stronger with each passing day. Her story is a powerful reminder that courage, a mother’s unwavering love, and timely support can truly heal even the most fragile hearts.
