Support a Child

2025-2026

Pt. Yukti

Yukti’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, timely care, and the gift of second chances.

Yukti, a 10-year-old girl from Delhi, was first diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at just 2.5 years old. Her parents noticed alarming symptoms—bluish discoloration of her lips and skin, along with frequent breathing difficulties. After medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious heart condition that required immediate surgical intervention.

Under the expert care of Dr. Vikas Kohli, Yukti underwent TOF repair surgery in 2018. The procedure was successful, and over time, she gradually returned to a healthy and active life. With regular follow-ups, her recovery remained stable and promising.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges. The family’s financial condition worsened significantly, forcing them to discontinue her routine medical check-ups.

In 2025, Yukti’s health took a sudden turn. She began experiencing nausea and episodes of unconsciousness, leaving her family deeply worried. They rushed back to Dr. Kohli for evaluation. After echocardiography and ECG tests, it was revealed that Yukti urgently required a pacemaker implantation.

Once again, the family found themselves facing a difficult situation—unable to afford the high cost of treatment.

At this critical moment, Yukti was registered under the Child Heart Foundation’s Hridaan Program. With timely support from CHF and the generous contribution of ABC, she underwent her second life-saving procedure—pacemaker implantation on 14th October 2025.

Today, Yukti is recovering well. Her strength reflects her incredible determination, and her journey stands as a reminder that with the right support, even the toughest challenges can be overcome.

Her family remains deeply grateful to the doctors, Child Heart Foundation, and ABC for giving Yukti a renewed chance at life.
