Baby Shanvika was born to Mrs. Sharadha and Mr. Raju, a sales executive, in Shamshabad. Like every parent, they welcomed their daughter with immense joy and dreams for a bright future.
However, their happiness soon turned into fear. Just 10 days after her birth, Shanvika was diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)—a serious congenital heart condition that required urgent surgery.
The news was devastating. The family had already approached a private hospital, but the cost of treatment was far beyond their means. With Mrs. Sharadha being a homemaker and Mr. Raju the sole earning member, arranging funds for such a complex procedure seemed impossible.
At this critical moment, hope arrived.
Shanvika’s case was identified during a medical camp conducted by the Child Heart Foundation (CHF). Recognizing the urgency, the foundation stepped in, coordinated her treatment, and took full responsibility for arranging the life-saving surgery.
With the generous support of ABC, baby Shanvika was admitted to Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute, where her surgery was successfully performed—bringing immense relief to her family.
Following the operation, Shanvika showed remarkable recovery. She became active, healthy, and responsive, with no signs of the distress she once endured.
Today, she is growing well, full of life, and enjoying a healthy childhood—something that would not have been possible without timely intervention and compassionate support.
Her family is deeply grateful to the Child Heart Foundation and ABC for giving their daughter a second chance at life.
Shanvika’s journey proves that when care reaches on time, even the most fragile hearts can be healed.
