Support a Child

2025-2026

Pt. Khatija Tasleem

Baby Khaitja Tasleem’s journey is a story of hope, resilience, and the power of timely care.

Born into a humble family, Khaitja Tasleem is the youngest daughter of Mr. Mohammed Ghouse and Mrs. Shaik Masthani Bee. Her father works at a mutton shop, earning a daily wage to support the family, while her mother lovingly cares for their three daughters—one of whom is differently-abled. Despite their financial struggles, the family always dreamed of giving their children a healthy and happy life.

Within a few months of her birth, Khaitja began showing signs of distress. She would tire easily, struggle during feeding, and was not gaining weight as expected. Concerned, her parents sought medical help.

After evaluation, doctors diagnosed her with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA)—a congenital heart defect that required immediate device closure to prevent serious complications.

The diagnosis left the family worried and helpless. The cost of treatment was far beyond their means, making it seem impossible to save their little girl.

At this critical moment, hope arrived.

The Child Heart Foundation (CHF) stepped forward to support Khaitja’s treatment. With generous financial assistance from ABC and expert medical guidance, the burden on the family was lifted, and her treatment was arranged without delay.

Under the skilled care of Dr. K. Ganapathy, Khaitja successfully underwent PDA device closure in February 2026—giving her a new chance at life.

Today, Khaitja is recovering well and growing healthier each day. She is more active, feeding properly, and bringing endless joy to her family.

Her parents express heartfelt gratitude to the Child Heart Foundation, ABC Sponsors Group, and Dr. Ganapathy for their timely support and compassionate care.

Khaitja’s story is a reminder that with kindness and timely intervention, even the smallest hearts can beat stronger and brighter.
