Divya’s Journey: A Story of Strength and Second Chances
Divya Pasi, an 11-month-old baby girl from Mangolpuri, Delhi, began her life with an unseen challenge. During pregnancy, her parents were informed that their unborn child might have a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). Despite the uncertainty, they lovingly welcomed their daughter into the world.
For a while, everything seemed normal. But soon, Divya developed a high fever, raising concerns. Her parents took her to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, where doctors advised an echocardiography along with medications.
However, her condition did not improve.
As her health worsened, the family rushed her to the hospital’s emergency department. This time, detailed evaluation confirmed their worst fear—Divya was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Seeking reassurance, the family consulted another hospital, but the diagnosis remained the same, and doctors emphasized the need for urgent medical intervention.
A Ray of Hope
Coming from a financially constrained background, Divya’s parents were deeply worried about how they would manage the cost of treatment. In this moment of distress, they turned back to Dr. Pradeep at Mahavir Hospital, who understood their situation and referred them to the Child Heart Foundation (CHF).
Soon after connecting with CHF, Divya’s treatment journey began. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Vikas Kohli recommended Cardiac Catheterization followed by ASD Device Closure with PDA Ligation to stabilize her condition.
The Life-Saving Treatment
With the support of CHF and generous funding from Mankind Pharma, Divya was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.
On 6th September 2025, she successfully underwent the life-saving procedure.
A New Beginning
Within a few weeks, Divya’s condition began to improve significantly. Today, she is healthy, active, and full of life—her smile shining brighter than ever.
Her family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Mankind Pharma and the Child Heart Foundation for supporting them during their most difficult time and giving Divya a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
