A Fragile Beginning, A Stronger Tomorrow
Born on 9th October 2025 in Delhi, Baby of Mamta entered the world surrounded by both joy and deep concern. During pregnancy, doctors had already suspected a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD), leaving the family anxious about their newborn’s health.
Already parents to three daughters, Mamta and her husband were eagerly waiting to welcome their fourth child. But their happiness was overshadowed by the fear of the unknown.
Just a few days after birth, their baby began showing worrying signs—breathlessness and low oxygen levels. Alarmed, the family rushed for medical evaluation. At just four days old, an echocardiogram confirmed the diagnosis: Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious heart condition requiring urgent intervention.
A Race Against Time
Doctors advised immediate stenting, with an estimated cost of ₹3.5 lakhs—an amount far beyond the family’s reach. The father, a delivery boy and the sole earning member, supports a family of six, making the situation even more overwhelming.
In their moment of crisis, Mata Gujri Hospital connected them to Dr. Vikas Kohli. Understanding the urgency, Dr. Kohli acted swiftly and arranged for the baby’s immediate transfer to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for advanced care.
The Life-Saving Intervention
On 16th October 2025, the baby underwent a critical stenting procedure, which was successfully performed by a team of expert doctors.
Following the procedure, the baby showed steady improvement. After careful monitoring, he was discharged in stable condition.
A New Beginning
Since then, the baby has returned for follow-ups at Apollo Hospital and continues to show encouraging progress with each visit.
Today, his journey stands as a testament to timely medical intervention, expert care, and the power of support during the most critical moments.
