A New Hope After Tetralogy of Fallot

At just one year old, Farha Naaz was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex congenital heart defect that required specialized pediatric cardiac care.

Her journey toward diagnosis began when frontline healthcare workers recognized the need for further evaluation and recommended an echocardiography. The test helped identify Farha’s heart condition and the need for timely treatment.

For her family, however, the diagnosis brought both fear and uncertainty. Coming from a financially disadvantaged background, they could not afford the specialized cardiac treatment their little daughter needed.

A Timely Referral Brought New Hope

Farha’s journey took a hopeful turn when the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team referred her to Child Heart Foundation (CHF) for further support.

After connecting with CHF, the family received guidance and assistance to move forward with Farha’s treatment.

With the CSR support of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the financial cost of her life-saving cardiac treatment was supported, giving Farha’s family renewed hope during an extremely difficult time.

Life-Saving Heart Surgery for Farha

Following medical evaluation and treatment planning, Farha was prepared for the cardiac surgery she needed.

On 15 December 2025, Farha successfully underwent life-saving surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot at Marengo Asia Hospital, Faridabad.

For her parents, the successful surgery was the moment they had been waiting and hoping for.

Their little girl had been given another chance at a healthier childhood.

A Little Heart With a Brighter Future

Today, Farha is stable, recovered, and doing well.

Her journey—from identification by frontline healthcare workers and referral through RBSK to receiving specialized pediatric cardiac treatment—shows the difference that early detection, timely referral, and access to appropriate cardiac care can make for a child with a congenital heart defect.

Farha’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Child Heart Foundation and IGL for helping make their daughter’s life-saving treatment possible.
