Setting up Pediatric Cardiac Centers in Government District Hospitals
Setting up a pediatric cardiac OPD center in a government hospital is crucial for providing specialized care to children with heart conditions. It ensures early detection and treatment, improving survival rates and quality of life. The center offers accessible, affordable care for underprivileged families, reducing the financial burden and travel for specialized services. It also enhances the hospital's overall capability, fostering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
Additionally, it supports public health initiatives by addressing congenital heart diseases, ultimately reducing long-term healthcare costs and promoting health equity within the community.
By setting up pediatric cardiac OPD (Outpatient Department) centers in government district hospitals, we offer several impactful services:
Awareness Campaigns and Medical camps to identify suspected cases
By addressing these considerations, government district hospitals can effectively establish pediatric cardiac centers, significantly improving access to specialized cardiac care for children and reducing the burden of pediatric heart diseases in the community.
We have successfully set up and are operating a pediatric cardiac center at Balakram Hospital in Timarpur, North east, Delhi.
In the first phase, a pediatric cardiac OPD is operational which is providing access to screening, diagnosis and consultation to children who are referred there.
In the near future, we are replicating similar model in other district hospitals all over the country.
